Through a new and unique cotton-spinning process, a yarn from recycled and recyclable fibers is made. This new type of yarn has the same, if not better, characteristics than yarns made from original
fibers, particulary in regards to strength, elongation, abrasion, pilling, and color fastness. The use of recycled fibres reduces the need for new fibers which, in the case of synthetic and cellulosic fiber production, can be costly in water and energy, and therefore the environmental impact can be high. The new patented process of yarn spinning saves energy and greatly reduces dye pollution.
